pasta & rice

Pasta or rice dishes.

Crab & rice Maryland

Crabs are cooked in a myriad of ways, boiled, baked or fried in bacon drippings, as in this recipe. Crab Maryland style is just crab meat with a little onion and celery sautéed in bacon drippings, tossed with crumbled bacon and rice. All I can say is "Try this!"

Jiao zi

Jiao Zi (or Gow Gee, in the Mandarin dialect) is a concoction made of dough stuffed with meat and/or vegetables. It is often served as part of dim sum. Proper preparation takes a bit of time and effort. But the results, when done correctly, are well worth it. Discover how to make jiao zi.

Chinese noodles

Noodles are, to indulge an obvious pun, a staple of Chinese dishes. Whether Cantonese or Mandarin, Hunan or Szechuan, some type of noodle is almost always found in breakfast, lunch or dinner recipes.

Mexican rice

A meal from the southwest is just not the same without Mexican rice as a side dish. There are as many different rice recipes as there are families but one thing is certain, they are all great.
