Spiced grape jelly

Preserves are really easy to prepare and this spiced grape jelly is not an exception.

Ingredients

1 pk pectin (3/4 oz package)
6 clove (whole cloves)
4 1⁄2 c sugar
1 pce cinnamon
3 1⁄2 c juice (apple juice)

Instructions

  1. Break cloves and cinnamon stick and tie in cheesecloth.
  2. Stir together the grape juice, spice bag and pectin in a 6 quart saucepan. Stir constantly over a high heat, bring to a boil. Quickly add all of the sugar.
  3. After reaching a full roiling boil, hard boil for a full minute, still stirring the mix constantly.
  4. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
